How to write your abstract

The abstract should be no more than two pages long and should not exceed 600 words. If you prefer to give a poster presentation, please indicate this in the upper right-hand corner. All figures should be placed on the second page.

Upon submitting their papers, authors must select two categories.You can find the list of all subject areas in the download section.

  1. Assignment to one of the topics in the categories Technology (T), Components (K), or Systems (S).
  2. Assignment to one of the topics in the Applications (A) Category.

Submission of Your Abstracts and Manuscripts

The full manuscripts based on the accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings by VDE Verlag.
By submitting your contribution, you confirm that you have read and accepted the copyright guidelines www.vde.com/schreibanleitung.

The lead author of an accepted paper may attend the 2027 Microelectronics and Systems Congress at a reduced rate. Regular registration fees apply to co-authors. We would like to expressly encourage authors from industry to submit papers. Purely marketing-oriented presentations are not accepted.

IEEE Xplore

If you would also like your manuscript to be made available on IEEE Xplore, please let us know when you submit your abstract. Your manuscript must then be written in English.

Follow-up: Option for Selected Manuscripts

We invite authors of selected manuscripts to submit a paper for topic-specific journals such as the “Journal for Sensors and Sensor Systems” or “Actuators.” We will provide further details on our website in due course.

Deadline for the Submission of Abstracts is March 15, 2027

The Program Committee selects submitted papers based on the following criteria:

  • The paper must be original and must not have been published anywhere, either domestically or internationally, prior to the conference.
  • The objectives, the results of the work, and how the work advances the state of the art must be clearly described.

Authors will be notified whether their paper has been accepted and will receive writing guidelines for their manuscript as well as a document template containing the necessary formatting instructions for drafting the text. The final papers must be submitted to the organizer by August 10, 2027.
